Alumni profile
Deborah Cresswell, British Airways
UCLan course: BA (Hons) International Tourism
Current job title: British Airways, Marketing Lead - Europe.
How has UCLan benefited your life or career?
When she graduated in 2000, Deborah went straight on to work for British Airways within the London ecommerce team after making a good impression working for the company during her placement year.
“I worked within the ecommerce team at BA for two years. This team looked after digital channels including ba.com. UCLan had a good relationship with BA and without this placement, securing a job would have been much more difficult.”
She decided to study International Tourism because she “wanted to get a broad understanding of the business issues and opportunities relating to the industry.”
